The daddy of them all, Les Grands Montets with its conditions up close and personal. This camera is at Lognan (1972m), the main meeting area up their – giving a view of the Herse chairlift. This location also plays host the the Chamonix Freeride Days at the end of the season.

This is the view from the centre of Chamonix overlooking the main church, the Maison de la Montagne (guide office, ski-school, + High-mountain office) with the green copper roof, the start of many of Chamonix’s main events such as the Marathon du Mont Blanc and The North Face Ultra-Trail, and in the background the peaks of the Aiguille Rouge (‘Brevent/Planpraz/Flegere’ ski area).
